Healing through Connection and Compassion
Dr. Joey Tadie is a talented psychologist with a gift for creating authentic connections with clients that empower them toward positive transformation. He is deeply passionate about helping those on a healing journey and believes we all have an innate capacity to change, grow, and thrive. His compassionate spirit helps cultivate a safe and nurturing therapeutic space where clients can truly be themselves and be seen for who they are and who they could grow to be.
Integrative and Specialized Care
Joey utilizes an eclectic relationship-centered therapeutic style incorporating psychodynamic, humanistic, and existentialist perspectives. In addition to using techniques such as metaphor or analogies to capture crucial concepts, he also uses practical strategies and skillsets from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to promote tangible steps forward. He specializes in treating various forms of trauma, anxiety, depression, men’s issues, and life transitions. Joey also has a background in integrating spirituality/religious themes into therapy work and is adept at helping clients overcome religiously oriented trauma. He has specialty training in evidence-based approaches like EMDR and Flash EMDR, and has also completed formalized training to become a Certified Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Provider. Therapy Grounded in Research and Authenticity
Joey’s disarming nature is well-balanced by his scholarly side. He is a passionate student of research, theory, and technique, and he has several publications to his name. Even with his deep clinical knowledge base, clients feel like they are talking to “someone they’ve known their whole life” because of his ability to genuinely connect with the human side in all of us. His sincerity and professionalism are apparent from the first meeting and endure throughout the therapeutic work.
Hear from Joey
I believe that everyone is capable of deep and lasting change, no matter what they have been through. My philosophy of care is built on the premise that the therapeutic relationship is crucial to healing and transformation. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work alongside my clients as they take the steps toward greater health and fulfillment in their lives. I am passionate about empowering individuals to live their best lives and assisting them in building paths toward sustained wellness.
I love working with a wide range of individuals suffering from many types of conditions, such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression. In addition, I am deeply interested in several specialty areas and communities. One of these passion areas includes empowering men to be loving fathers and partners, facilitating increased involvement, and learning how to show up emotionally for the people in their lives. We live in a culture that discourages men from experiencing or expressing emotions. This culture can create a cloud of confusion around how to best integrate all aspects of the human experience. I excel in helping men learn how to craft an identity that allows room for them to be whole, complex individuals rather than feel trapped in rigid roles and expectations of what a man is supposed to be.
I am also deeply passionate about working with individuals who are working through spiritual/religious challenges, including religious trauma. I have specialty training in integrating spirituality with clinical work, which allows individuals to engage in a more holistic path toward healing. I do not practice from a singular religious or spiritual framework and am open to all faith styles, even as my formal theological training was from a Christian perspective.
