She is an expert in working with children ages 4-11, and is a specialist at working with parents as well. In addition to her child/family expertise, she is highly adept when working with pregnant moms, postpartum families, and adults (ages 20 and up) struggling with depression, anxiety, or Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.

She is well versed in holding space for her clients who are during horrifically challenging circumstances and has a remarkable ability to bring a soothing presence to those sitting in immense pain. Libby also has specialty training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which allows her to deliver efficient and effective treatment to clients facing many different types of trauma. Her clients find that she is a stable presence when life feels incredibly complex, and she offers patience, wisdom, and thoughtful guidance to help you navigate the intricacies of your situation.

Hear from Libby

I love working with children. Their capacity to be resilient, full of wonder, and still fresh in the world even when they are going through something challenging is humbling. I generally use child-centered play therapy and sometimes EMDR when working with children. There is such value in play therapy. Play is sophisticated communication. I am honored to have worked with so many children and their families, and I never tire of the work.

I also love working with moms (and parents). I find that moms are often misunderstood in society and pathologized when they shouldn’t be. Being a parent is such a vulnerable role and to be able to sit with parents and help them navigate and walk that journey is inspiring.

I have worked with clients working through trauma for years. EMDR has been a game changer in how I have worked with those suffering trauma. It works with the body and can treat the whole person. I very much believe that people can heal, and we are all more resilient than we give ourselves credit for, especially when given the right tools. The therapeutic relationship is such a profound one. When you work with me, you will find my office a safe space that is respectful and accepting. I am honored to sit with you and hold space for you.
