Therapy for Eating Disorder Recovery
Eating Disorder Recovery:
Individual and Couples Therapy
Our Eating Disorder Team offers both individual and couples therapy for older adolescents and adults. Because we believe that eating disorders greatly impact not just the sufferer but their loved ones too, we are also passionate about supporting loved ones of those struggling with an eating disorder.
Foundations of Therapy
Effective therapy depends on a respectful, safe, and collaborative relationship. We believe that, if a person is given a safe space to work through their current struggles and underlying concerns, their innate resilience and capacity to heal will shine through.
Every person is whole, unique, and capable of healing. We focus on building an individualized plan that is tailored to their needs. We are careful to consider all aspects of your life—not just the main issue that you are facing.
Our approach is integrative and collaborative. This may seem vague, but based on clinical experience and learning, we do not believe adhering to one theory or approach is beneficial, nor is it effective. Instead we collaborate with our clients to determine biological, psychological, and social influences on their struggles, which then informs the therapy moving forward.
Therapy models we incorporate into your healing journey:
- Biopsychosocial-spiritual model
- EMDR
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Positive Psychology
- Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
- Mindful Self-Compassion
- Internal Family Systems
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (Couples)
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
