The Group KAP Experience: Step by Step
Our Group Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (G-KAP) program is designed with care to ensure a safe, meaningful, and transformative experience. Here’s what the process looks like:
Initial Contact and Information Call
Reach out to us to express your interest and schedule a free call to learn more about the program. This is your opportunity to ask questions, connect with our team, and explore how we can support your healing journey.
Intake and Medical Screening
Meet with our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Adrienne Long, PMHNP-BC, to discuss your medical and mental health history, answer any questions you may have about ketamine, and weigh the pros and cons of KAP for your specific situation. If you are medically cleared and together with our KAP team determine that G-KAP is the right treatment for you, then you will be enrolled in one of our cohorts for Group Ketamine-Assisted Therapy.
Preparation Sessions
Participate in guided preparation sessions to set intentions, learn what to expect during the ketamine experience, and build trust with the group. These sessions provide a chance to connect with your facilitators and fellow participants, fostering a sense of safety and openness before beginning your group ketamine medicine sessions. You’ll also receive resources on intention-setting, practical tips and mindfulness techniques to help you get the most out of your experience.
Four Group Ketamine Medicine Sessions
Over the course of four weekly sessions, your group cohort will engage in a meaningful, shared healing experiences. Each session includes the following:
- Intention Setting: Ground yourself and clarify your goals ahead of the medicine session.
- IM Ketamine Administration:After being medically cleared, experience ketamine administered intramuscularly under the care of our medical team. Participants are closely monitored throughout the session to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Guided Journey: Rest comfortably with therapeutic support and music designed to enhance your ketamine experience. Facilitators provide gentle support throughout, ensuring you remain grounded and supported as you explore your inner world.
- Post-Journey Processing: Reflect on your experience as a group immediately after

Complete your journey with a final group session to process insights, reflect on growth, and celebrate the progress you’ve made.
