Hear from Dr. Lies van Bekkum on why she recommends the Light Stream Exercise:

“Breathing in positive light and releasing unwanted feelings is a quick and easy way to turn a stressful situation around in any place at any time.”

Concentrate on a disturbing feeling or thought in your body. Does it have a shape, size, and color? Which of your favorite colors might you associate with healing and relaxation?

Take a moment to focus on your breathing and breathing in this warm healing light coming in through the top of your head. Image breathing out the disturbing sensation, feeling, or thought with the associated color.

Visualize one color leaving your body with each exhale and the healing light filling your body with each inhale. Allow the light to come in and descend starting at the top of your head slowly down to the rest of your body. All the way to your fingertips and toes.

Continue breathing in and exhaling until the healing light has replaced all of the disturbing feelings or thoughts in your body.
