Erin Wyatt, PMHNP-BC, is a dedicated and compassionate psychiatric nurse practitioner working under the mentorship of Adrienne Long, PMHNP-BC, our lead psychiatric provider. Erin brings a unique mind-body perspective to her work at The Catalyst Center. With over two decades of experience in women’s health, massage therapy, and nursing, Erin integrates her holistic background with advanced psychiatric training to provide thoughtful, comprehensive care. Her clinical approach emphasizes collaboration, whole-person wellness, and the belief that healing happens when we honor the connection between mind, body, and spirit.

Erin’s Philosophy of Care

Clients working with Erin can expect a warm, thorough, and unhurried experience. She takes the time to truly understand each person’s story, often beginning with a focus on sleep, lifestyle, and overall well-being before considering medication. When medications are part of treatment, Erin carefully evaluates what is most supportive and may incorporate deprescribing strategies when appropriate.

Her philosophy as a prescriber is grounded in holistic psychiatry and integrative care. She weaves in tools such as somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, and lifestyle interventions, alongside her training in somatic experiencing. Erin also values close collaboration with each client’s therapist and care team, believing that integrated care leads to the best outcomes. Clients often describe her as warm, collaborative, and thorough — someone who takes the time to listen deeply and ensure nothing important is overlooked.

Erin’s early career in bodywork and nursing centered around women’s health, including perinatal and postpartum care. This foundation continues to inform her psychiatric work, where she is passionate about supporting women through reproductive transitions, postpartum challenges, and the complexities of hormone and mood interactions.

Erin’s Specialties

Women’s Mental Health & Perinatal/Postpartum Support

Erin’s early career in bodywork and nursing centered around women’s health, including perinatal and postpartum care. This foundation continues to inform her psychiatric work, where she is passionate about supporting women through reproductive transitions, postpartum challenges, and the complexities of hormone and mood interactions.

Chronic Pain

Erin has extensive experience working with clients navigating the challenges of chronic pain, including pelvic pain and other complex conditions. Through her work in Denver Health’s chronic pelvic pain program, she taught classes on the connection between chronic pain, mental health, and the nervous system response. Drawing from both her medical background and her years as a bodyworker, Erin understands how deeply pain affects every aspect of life. She helps clients explore integrative approaches that address both the physical and emotional impact of chronic pain, offering validation and strategies for long-term relief.

Trauma Recovery

Erin recognizes that trauma is often at the root of many struggles, whether it shows up as anxiety, depression, ADHD-like symptoms, chronic pain, or substance use. Her work across settings — from bodywork and perinatal care to inpatient psychiatry and substance use treatment — has reinforced her belief that “it all comes back to trauma.” She brings compassion, patience, and holistic tools to help clients process and heal. Erin has begun integrating Somatic Experiencing into her work with clients

ADHD, Autism & Neurodivergence

Erin brings both professional expertise and personal lived experience to her work with ADHD. She also has a special interest in autism spectrum differences and is pursuing additional training to deepen her ability to serve neurodivergent clients. She is particularly attuned to late-diagnosis adults and those experiencing ADHD or autism burnout.

Anxiety and Mood Disorders

Erin has a deep appreciation for working with clients experiencing anxiety and mood concerns. She finds great reward in helping people find relief from overwhelming worry and emotional distress, while equipping them with tools that foster long-term stability.

Hear from Erin

Years of working as a massage therapist and nurse showed me the power of the mind-body connection. Being in both complementary and conventional healthcare allowed me to see how each approach can heal — and how they often work even better when combined. This experience ultimately led me to pursue integrative psychiatry as a nurse practitioner.

Traditional psychiatric care is often focused on the brain, but mental health is also influenced by sleep, nutrition, hormones, stress, chronic pain, genetics, trauma, and lifestyle. Addressing these factors takes time, but this approach allows me to get to know you as a whole person and understand your goals for care. While I am highly trained in integrative psychiatry, you are the expert on you.

I believe wellness requires a team approach, which is why I value collaboration with your therapist, primary care provider, and other practitioners. Medications can be a powerful tool, and I take the time to properly assess your needs before prescribing. That may mean starting a psychiatric medication for the first time or reviewing your current medication list to see if it’s still the best fit.

Because trauma so often lies beneath the surface of anxiety, depression, chronic pain, or substance use, I bring a compassionate, trauma-informed lens to all of my work. My ultimate goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, understood, and supported — even if we don’t have all the answers right away. I approach each client with warmth, curiosity, and care, taking the time to ensure nothing important is overlooked. Together, we can create a path toward healing that honors your individuality and fosters lasting well-being.
