About The Catalyst Center

Whole-person care for meaningful, lasting change

The Catalyst Center in Denver, CO

Whole-person, evidence-based care that blends science, heart, and deep respect for how people heal.

We know that the struggles people carry—anxiety, depression, relationship patterns, chronic stress, identity-based harm, or past wounds—often share a common root in how the nervous system learned to protect and adapt.

We help people heal at that root. Many concerns that don’t seem like trauma—anxiety, stress, identity questions, emotional disconnection, or patterns that feel stuck—are shaped by earlier experiences that taught the mind and body how to cope. This is why we work through a broad trauma lens that includes attachment injuries, overwhelm, emotional deprivation, identity-based harm, and the cumulative experiences that continue to echo in the present.

As trauma specialists, we understand that trauma is not only catastrophic events. It is also the chronic pressures, relational wounds, and lived experiences that shape both the nervous system and the stories people carry. This perspective allows us to tailor care to each person’s unique history and needs.

Our team of experienced clinicians offers therapy for all ages, EMDR, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), collaborative psychological assessment, integrative psychiatry, and neurofeedback. Our work is LGBTQ+-affirming, neurodivergent-inclusive, and culturally responsive—because every person deserves care that honors who they are and how they heal.

Who We Are

The Catalyst Center brings together experienced clinicians who share a commitment to depth, curiosity, and lifelong learning. Our entire team is trained in EMDR and grounded in principles of nervous-system regulation and attachment theory. Our team also includes individual and couples therapists, certified ketamine-assisted therapy clinicians, assessment psychologists,  integrative psychiatric nurse practitioners, IFS trained and informed therapists, and child and family therapists.

Even with diverse specialties, we’re united by a shared philosophy healing rarely happens through talk alone. Lasting change requires engaging the whole person—mind, body, their nervous system, and the deeper meanings that shape our lives. Our therapists and psychiatric providers draw from body‑based and experiential approaches alongside insight and discussion, because trauma, emotions, and stress also live in the body. We also deeply believe that healing is possible—and that this possibility expands when people are met with compassion, attunement, evidence‑based care, and a steady, regulated therapeutic presence. Our Foundational Values

Safety and Attunement

The therapeutic relationship is the heart of healing. We prioritize connection, pacing, and co-regulation so clients can feel grounded enough to do brave and transformative work.

Collaborative, Whole-Person Healing

We center collaboration in everything we do. This means therapy is not something we do to you, but something we build with you—honoring your autonomy, lived experience, cultural background, identities, and inner wisdom. We work in a client-centered, partnership-based way, where your goals guide the process and your voice shapes each step of your care. We approach every client through a bio-psycho-social-spiritual lens, honoring the connection between body, mind, relationships, community, and meaning.

Evidence-Based & Effective Care

We rely on research-supported, clinically effective treatments. Whether we are using EMDR, IFS-informed therapy, Polyvagal Theory, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, neurofeedback, or collaborative assessment, our work is grounded in approaches that have demonstrated meaningful and lasting results.

Meaning & Purpose

We believe healing involves more than symptom relief—it includes making sense of your story, reconnecting with agency, and building a life aligned with your values.

Inclusivity & Affirmation

We proudly serve LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent clients, people of all cultural and faith backgrounds, and those exploring identity, spirituality, and belonging.

Curiosity & Lifelong Learning

We continually evolve. When research deepens, clients teach us something new, or a modality emerges that genuinely helps—we learn it, integrate it, and refine it.

How Healing Happens at The Catalyst Center

We believe healing and lasting change are shaped by three core through-lines: safe, attuned relationships; nervous system regulation; and integrative, whole-person care.

1. Safe, Attuned Relationships

Before any technique or modality, healing starts with feeling safe, seen, and supported. We focus on building steady, trusting relationships where you don’t have to carry everything alone. Through co-regulation, compassionate witnessing, and honest feedback, we help reduce shame and create enough safety for real change to unfold.

2. Nervous System Regulation

Trauma, anxiety, mood changes, attachment disruptions, ADHD, and neurodivergence all involve the nervous system. Our work helps clients feel safer, calmer, and more flexible in their bodies—so they can meet life with clarity rather than survival mode.

3. Integrative, Whole-Person Care & Meaning-Making

We approach healing through a bio-psycho-social-spiritual lens. That means we pay attention to your body and brain, your thoughts and emotions, your relationships and environment, and your values, spirituality, or sense of purpose. We help you make meaning of your story while also building concrete skills and supports in your daily life.

4. Our Integrative Framework

As a team of trauma specialists, we draw from a thoughtfully curated set of approaches—not all at once, but in a way that fits your needs. This may include talk therapy, EMDR or brainspotting, IFS parts work, body-based methods, neurofeedback, relational or family-focused work, spiritual or existential exploration, and—when appropriate—integrative psychiatry, psychological assessment, or ketamine-assisted sessions. The through-line is always the same: creating a felt sense of safety, connection, and inner coherence in your life, not just in session.

How We Work With Clients

Thoughtful Matching

We help clients connect with a clinician who truly fits—someone who understands their needs, identity, and goals. Most of our services begin with a free 30-minute consultation so you can ask questions and get a sense of whether the fit feels right. For services that follow a different intake structure, we ensure you speak with our intake coordinator first so you can assess fit and get your questions answered.

Collaborative Planning

Early sessions focus on discovering your needs, clarifying your hopes, and selecting the “languages” that align with you—whether EMDR or brainspotting, IFS, neurofeedback, relational therapy, couples work, ketamine-assisted therapy, or a blend.

Safety, Pacing, and Integration

We pace the work by your nervous system’s capacity, not by urgency or pressure. Approaches like EMDR, brainspotting, ketamine-assisted sessions, and other body-based methods can open access to emotions, memories, and insights that have been held beneath the surface.

Integration is the bridge between what emerges in session and how life feels afterward. It is the process of translating new awareness into new choices, new relational patterns, and new embodied experiences. Without integration, insights can feel powerful but temporary; with it, they become part of who you are becoming.

Our role is to help your system absorb, organize, and apply what unfolds—so the work doesn’t just unlock something, but shifts something.

Team-Based Care When Needed

Psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychologists and therapists, and assessment psychologists, collaborate to give clients comprehensive, whole-person support. When appropriate, we also coordinate with your providers outside The Catalyst Center to ensure your care feels connected, consistent, and supported across your whole team.

In-Person & Telehealth Options

Clients can work with us in our Denver office or online, depending on what best fits your schedule, needs, and comfort.

Our Story: Always Learning, Always Evolving

A Practice Rooted in Both Science and Humanity

The Catalyst Center was founded on the idea that mental health care could be both scientifically grounded and deeply human. What began as a practice rooted in trauma-focused therapy and perinatal mental health has grown into a thriving community of clinicians united by a commitment to depth, integrity, and whole-person healing.

A Team Chosen with Intention

From the start, we chose each member of our staff for their clinical excellence, personal strengths, and shared dedication to being a catalyst for change in the world. As our understanding of healing deepened, our practice evolved—guided by curiosity, emerging research, and the lived experiences of the clients we serve.

Evolving With Purpose

Instead of expanding for the sake of growth, we’ve intentionally shaped our offerings to reflect what genuinely helps people heal. Over time, this has meant strengthening our trauma recovery work, deepening our assessment program, integrating body-based and mind–body approaches, and developing a comprehensive ketamine-assisted psychotherapy program supported by an on-site medical team. We also embraced modalities that honor the inner world—parts work, attachment-focused therapy, somatic practices, and spiritual or existential exploration.

Our Guiding Question

Through every chapter, our guiding question has remained the same: What genuinely helps people heal—and how can we offer more of that?
