Hear from Mitra
I believe people are like acorns. Each one of us has a ton of potential if we are given a nurturing environment. I know that you can get through almost anything with the right kind of support. I also know that we are often our own harshest critic. As a therapist I provide more context to help you understand yourself more fully. Nothing we do happens in isolation, everything is embedded in the situation. Sometimes you might blame yourself for things that are not your fault. I help you to explore your thoughts, and understand your context. Humans are not perfect, small failures are a natural part of life and of being human.
I am willing to hear your story, no matter how painful it is, I am willing to sit with you in those moments because I believe human connection is something that really heals people. Sometimes the way we are moving through the world is not the most helpful way of getting where we want to be. I get that you came up with this way of being in the world for a good reason, and together we will decide what you want to change and how to take those steps.
I see our lives as changeable.
Living abroad in Tanzania doing humanitarian work I saw a lot of pain and suffering- much of which could have been helped. I found that I have a gift for making hard times a little easier for people, and that I love participating in people healing themselves. It is incredibly rewarding to see parts of people that not everyone gets to see because therapy is a safe place for you to open up. It is an honored position that I am grateful to hold.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
